What is the ANCA - PR3 (Serin Proteinase 3 antibodies) test?
This Proteinase-3 (PR-3) is a neutral serine proteinase present in azurophil granules of human polymorphonuclear leukocytes and serves as the major target antigen of antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies with a cytoplasmic staining pattern (c-ANCA) in Wegener's granulomatosis (WG).

It is recommended:When symptoms of the disease such as fever, sinus pain, hearing loss, numbness, and chest pain appear.Depending upon the organ affected, there are different types of vasculitis conditions, such as granulomatosis with polyangiitis (lungs, kidneys, and sinuses), microscopic polyangiitis (lungs, kidneys, nervous system, and skin), eosinophilic granulomatosis with the polyangiitis (skin and lungs), and polyarteritis nodosa (heart, kidneys, skin, and central nervous system).

The ANCA - PR3 (Serin Proteinase 3 antibodies) test: Detects and analyzes systemic autoimmune vasculitis and other autoimmune disorders such as Wegener's Granulomatosis (WG), Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA), and other such diseases.Evaluates the presence of antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA-C) in the body responsible for causing autoimmune vasculitis. ANCA-C attacks proteinase-3 of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell), leading to inflammation and swelling of the blood vessels.
