Pemphigus Vulgaris is a rare type of autoimmune disease that can cause painful blistering on the skin and mucous membranes. In an autoimmune disease, your immune system mistakenly attacks your healthy tissues. Pemphigus Vulgaris is a common type of a group of autoimmune disorders called pemphigus. Each type of pemphigus is characterized by where the blisters are formed.
It is recommended for symptoms such as: Painful blisters that start in the mouth or skin areas. Blisters near the surface of the skin that come and go. Oozing, crusting, or peeling at the blister site.
The Epidermal (Pemphigus) Antibody in Dilution test: It is analyzed in response to a skin condition called Pemphigus Vulgaris. These autoantibodies are produced against the keratinocyte cell surface in patients suffering from Pemphigus Vulgaris. This test is done when there is blistering on the skin and mucous membranes.
You will get the reports within 96 hours after the collection of the blood sample.
The Epidermal (Pemphigus) Antibody in Dilution test is prescribed by your doctor after completing the assessment of your condition.
